The Utah Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Integrated Healthcare will hold public hearings to discuss an amendment to Utah's Medicaid Reform 1115 Demonstration. The Department will also accept public comments regarding the amendment online, by email, or mail during the public comment period. The original public comment period was from April 22, 2025, through May 22, 2025 but has been extended through June 2, 2025. An additional public hearing will be held on May 27, 2025, as indicated below.

Utah Medicaid is requesting authority from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to implement a Community Engagement (CE) work requirement for the Adult Expansion Medicaid (AEM) demonstration group which is currently authorized under the State’s 1115 Demonstration. The CE requirement applies to AEM members who are able to participate in the CE requirement, are not already participating in other work or training activities, and do not meet an exemption or do not demonstrate good cause.
