The Medicaid population health data is shown in different ways within three different tabs.
Quality Measure Map: This dashboard shows the scores from the Medicaid population health data for the whole state of Utah. The scores are shown by county (the different areas within the state). On the left side of the dashboard, you will find buttons or menus called filters. You can use these filters to change what information you see:
- Choose the different quality health measures (the different quality scores) you want to look at.
- Change the time period (reporting period) the scores are from.
- Filter the scores by a specific county or health district
Measuring Trend: This tab shows how the different health quality scores have changed over time across the state of Utah. On the left side of the dashboard, you will find buttons or menus called filters. You can use these filters to choose and sort the information you see:
- Choose the different quality health measures (the specific quality scores) you want to track.
- Change how the chart groups the information (for example, you can group by county or by health district).
- Filter the scores based on:
- The program
- The county
- The age group (age band)
- The gender (sex)
- Local Health District
This shows you what progress is being made and who is benefiting.
Measure Crosstab: This tab sorts information into a table. On the left side of the dashboard, you will find buttons or menus called filters. You can use these filters to choose and sort the information:
- Choose the different quality health measures (the specific quality scores) you want to look at.
- Change how the table sorts or groups the information (for example, you could group the scores by county or local health district.
This helps you look at the quality information in different ways.
Note: Sometimes, you will see a county on the map where the information is listed as "Suppressed" on a map, bar graph, or table. This means the available information did not meet the rules DHHS has for showing data in this dashboard. When this happens, the data has been hidden. DHHS does this to make sure the data is correct and that it does not reveal who any of the people are. If a box in a table is empty (shows no result), it means there was simply no information available for that specific combination of items you were looking at.
Disclaimer: This dashboard is populated using claims data from Provider Reimbursement Information System for Medicaid (PRISM) and is for informational purposes only. Please note that the results should not be compared to National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) or Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) data.
