Medicaid Work Incentive Program
Medicaid Work Incentive (MWI) is a Medicaid program for persons who meet the Social Security criteria for disability and have earned income. The household income limit is 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
If household net income does not exceed 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, the individual will not pay an MWI premium. If household net income is above 100% of the Federal Poverty Level, but below the 250% of the Federal Poverty Level, the individual will pay a MWI premium.
