The results on the CAHPS dashboard come from special yearly surveys called the Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) surveys. These surveys ask people who are signed up for a health plan (enrollees) about their recent experiences with that plan and the services it provides, such as seeing doctors or getting medicine. This dashboard gives you (the consumer) information so that you can easily compare plans and make a good choice when you need to pick a health plan. The facts and figures in the charts come from surveys collected between January and June of the reporting period. The people who answered these surveys were asked about the care they received during the whole previous year.
This dashboard (or screen) shows you the scores (called CAHPS metrics) for different health plans. The scores are shown based on the health plan, the program it is part of, and the time period when the survey was done. On the left side of the dashboard, you will see buttons or menus called filters. You can use these filters to change what you see on the screen:
- Change the time period you want to look at.
- Change the name of the score (metric) you want to view.
- Choose the specific health plan you are interested in.
- Choose a specific type of health plan.
Note: Sometimes in the charts below, you will see a result listed as "Suppressed" or "SP." This means the health plan's information did not meet the rules for reporting, so DHHS cannot show the data. If you see "N/A" (which means "Not Available"), it means the information for that specific plan is simply missing or not yet ready.
Disclaimer: This dashboard is populated using data received by DHHS from various NCQA-certified CAHPS survey vendors. Since vendor compilation methods can vary, the final reported results displayed on the dashboard were calculated by our NCQA-certified dashboard creator, Onpoint Health Data. All plans were given these results for approval prior to publication.
