Hybrid Unified Preferred Drug List

Hybrid Unified Preferred Drug List (PDL) policy to begin on January 1, 2026.

Starting January 1, 2026, Utah Medicaid will be implementing a new Hybrid Unified Preferred Drug List (PDL) policy. This change is the result of legislation passed during the 2025 General Legislative Session. It will only impact Utah Medicaid members who are enrolled in a managed care plan.

The new policy will establish a Hybrid Unified PDL for certain medicine classes, selected to help manage costs for the state. This list will be used by both Utah Medicaid and the managed care plans, including Health Choice Utah, Healthy U, Molina, and Select Health.
